Lia Gård - a Retreat Centre in the deep Forests of Norway

A FARM – whose history goes back many hundred years. Starting with its more recent history, it was deserted in the 1950s because of its isolated geographical location and the general difficulty of running the place. In the 1970s, new people recognized its promise because of its special resources – its beautiful vast nature. A perfect place for recreation, rest and silence – all because someone dared to take on a challenge!

A VISION – moulded by one family’s need to come into the quiet with the Lord Jesus and a desire to use one’s life and resources for the Kingdom of God.

A COMMUNITY – of different people desiring to live close to each other and close to God.

A DEPENDENCE – on God and an extensive family of friends.
